Corona Virus is still hindering so many our plans. Finding ways to stay creative and productive are imperative in these times. <3 I always try to extend myself and create my own fun tasks... after all, we may as well make the best of our extra time indoors. <3
Create a Mood/Theme & Setting Up:
You can create different moods by easily changing up the lighting, adding colored or blinking lights, string/draping lights. You may want a specific color theme or concept. Pinterest is a fantastic resource for themes. :D A few themes can be anything from:
Beauty/Spa Theme: Bust out the beauty supplies and goodies... beauty & spa themes are perfect for face masks/peels, foot masks, hair masks, eye patches, painting finger and toe nails, makeup sessions, straightening or curling hair, waxing/shaving, plucking, bath bomb/salt soaks... all while enjoying lovely cold alcoholic (or not) beverages, snacking and chatting up a storm! <3 Here are a few food/snack and drink suggestions from my Pinterest page. Set up lil beauty stations for you gals and guys! <3 You can use your regular home sofas and chairs. Jazz them up with fabrics and lots of pillows. :D Atmosphere is EVERYTHING when creating your theme! <3 Have some towels ready for use when doing masks and peels. :D
Photo Shoot/ Modeling Theme: Create different lil photo stations for shooting each other and selfies as well! <3 Use anything from fabrics, scarves, blank walls, stools, chairs. See my POST on shooting from home for more set up options and ideas. Set up makeup stations for each person. (The dollar store is a great option for getting cheap mirrors, makeup, nail polishes, masks, etc.) Each station can have lil items like: handheld mirrors, eye shadows, brush sets, lipsticks, lip glosses, sheet face masks, nail polishes, etc. You don't need professional equipment to get great results. Phones these days work perfectly for photo shoots! :D Use props like flowers for an extra, lovely addition/texture in your photographs. :D Print out freebie photo booth printables, decorate them with glitter and jewels and use them for props! <3 Play awesome photo shoot music that gets you moving while you all photograph one another and take selfies as well! :D
Healthy Beginnings Theme: Focusing around healthy smoothies, healthy snacks.... all things healthy... cooking or baking up some healthy recipes. Why not run some movies in the background with buff men and babes for some inspo? LOL :P Create meal plans together, print out freebie printables of healthy recipes, meal & drink ideas and charts to stay organized, fit, and healthy. <3 Get moving and play some games together that involve moving around and getting active. Have a few light weights laying around. <3 Take a lil time to meditate together. Mental health is just as important as physical health and are quite linked. <3
Fairy/Princess/Fantasy/Cosplay Themes: Have fun with creating your favorite character or create your own character. <3 Get creative with your hair, makeup, costuming... it's all about having fun! <3 Bring out your jewelry, accessories, boas, scarves, anything you want to wear to jazz up your outfit/look! :D Find any suitable props from around your home. <3
Learn to Drive Theme: (Good for Teens) Leave out driving booklets for study, run driving related movies and tv shows, mini quizzes on driving questions with small rewards for correct answers. (Reward Ideas: Gift Cards, games, favorite snacks, cash) Make fun driving related treats. Decorate the room with driving/car related decor like toy traffic cones, traffic lights and road signs.
Movie/Cinema Marathon Themes: (Any of your favs) Bring on the popcorn and snacks, it's a movie glamping party! :P Perhaps you or one of your children have a favorite movie series that would be perfect for the occasion! <3 GUILTY FACT!!! I used to have Twilight marathons with my sisters and mother! LOL :P Maybe you love nature and want to try a shark theme or a foodie and want to only watch food shows. <3 Great movie platforms include Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. Want to watch movies and shows for free? Try Crackle, it's completely FREE, you just have to watch some commercials. A good trade off I think. :D
Holiday/Celebratory Themes: Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, Celebrations. For Halloween you can carve and or decorate pumpkins, make sugar skull themed pumpkins or face painting, make caramel apples with different sprinkles and decorations, tell/read scary stories and watch scary movies! For a Christmas theme you can bake cookies together while watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate and/or coffee or tea. Decorate the Christmas tree and hang Christmas decorations together. You can wrap presents together, or play a game of find the presents by hiding gifts all around the room or the entire house. For Easter, hide eggs with small gifts inside. Make special Easter baskets to give away to each family member. Or maybe plant some lovely flowers in a potted flower session together. Decorate the pottery before planting for additional fun! :D If you can imagine it, you can produce it and make it your reality! <3
Adult Themes: Well hayy, hayyyy... :P Maybe you have some time alone with your loved one. Why not make your lil glamping session a fun, playful and erotic time for you both? Definitely bring that heat with some lovely, sexy lingerie! <3 For something a lil more casual, a sexy lil top with a panty work as well... it's all about your comfort, confidence and sensuality. <3 Perhaps a lil shower intimacy, couples massages with oils, toy play sessions, modeling sensual outfits for your partner, sex games. I'm sure you have your own ideas on this one... LOL :P
Pizza Party: Whether you're making your own pizzas with a spread of toppings and crusts right at home or having them delivered... a pizza glamping party never hurt anyone!! A perfect concept for all of you PIZZA LOVERS! <3 Pizza hats and party decorations... paint a pizza coloring pages, pizza pics and pizza flicks! LOL :P Maybe a Ninja Turtles & Pizza Theme for us 80's and 90's babies!! LOL :P Yeahhhh mannnn! :P I'm seriously craving pizza now, lol. :P
Book Club Theme: Perhaps you have a favorite book or book series... this makes the perfect theme for your glamping session! <3 Put out copies of your favorite book for all attending to read. You can also play the audio book out loud and enjoy the book that way... which ever way you prefer. <3 Perhaps a character in your themed book has a costume or look that you can dress up as. :P Or maybe they speak in a certain language or accent that you can try to learn and copy for fun as well to go along with the concept. Perhaps the book takes place in a certain country or setting that you can somehow bring to life with decorations. It's all about getting creative and having fun! <3
Art Session Theme: Arts of ALL KINDS of mediums can be a part of your glamping day(s)! Anything from scrapbooking, painting on canvas, jewelry making, pottery, sewing, knitting, photography, candle making, soap making, printing and framing family/favorite photographs, floral arranging, making wind chimes & sun catchers, making cards, paper crafts, creating digital arts and printables.
Furnishings like tables for setting up Food/Drink Stations are always a HUGE help with keeping with the "Glamping" atmosphere. Perhaps you have a lovely picnic basket or serving trays where you can lay some edibles out for everyone to enjoy. <3
Using lights and decoratives always enhance your atmosphere. Jazz up your sleeping areas with pillows, cushions, fluffy throws and blankets! <3 Have fun with your lighting... you have so many options from lanterns, led lights, blinking lights, soft warm string lights, novelty string lights, star lanterns and battery operated tea lights. <3
