Paper Plate Monsters & Pumpkins: A classic for a reason! Grab some paper plates, paint them orange for pumpkins or various colors for silly monsters. Then, let the kids go wild with construction paper, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and markers to create unique faces. For pumpkins, they can draw on jack-o'-lantern grins; for monsters, anything goes – horns, fangs, crazy hair!
Mummy Mason Jar Lanterns: This simple craft creates a beautiful, soft glow. Wrap clean mason jars with strips of white gauze or medical tape. Secure with glue, then add googly eyes to peek out from the "bandages." Pop in a battery-operated tea light for a spooky lantern effect.
Toilet Paper Roll Critters: Don't toss those empty toilet paper rolls! They're perfect for transforming into bats (paint black, add paper wings), mummies (wrap with toilet paper), or even friendly Frankenstein monsters (paint green, add black hair and stitches).

Bake Up Some Boo-tiful Treats!
Get messy in the kitchen with your kids and whip up some delicious, Halloween-themed snacks. These recipes are easy enough for little hands to help with, making the process as fun as the eating!
"Mummy" Hot Dogs: A super simple and incredibly popular treat! Wrap hot dogs with strips of pre-made crescent roll dough to resemble mummy bandages, leaving a space for the "face." Bake according to crescent roll instructions, then use mustard or edible candy eyes to create eyes.
Ghostly Banana Pops: A healthier, no-bake option. Cut bananas in half, insert a popsicle stick into the cut end, and freeze for about 15-20 minutes. Melt some white chocolate or white candy melts, then dip the frozen bananas, coating them completely. While still wet, add two mini chocolate chips for eyes.
Spiderweb Cupcakes: Bake your favorite batch of cupcakes and frost them with orange or green icing. Then, using black icing in a piping bag (or a ziplock bag with a tiny corner snipped off), draw concentric circles on top of the frosting. Take a toothpick and drag it from the center outwards to create a spiderweb design. Add a gummy spider for extra flair!
Monster Rice Krispie Treats: Add green food coloring to your melted marshmallow mixture before mixing in the Rice Krispies. Once pressed into a pan and cooled, cut them into squares or monster shapes. Decorate with candy eyes, sprinkles, and edible markers to create unique monster faces.

Pumpkin Bowling: Decorate some empty plastic bottles or cans as ghosts or monsters. Use a small pumpkin (real or decorative) as a bowling ball and set up your "pins" in a hallway or backyard. See who can knock down the most!
Halloween Scavenger Hunt: Hide Halloween-themed items or candy around the house or yard. Provide clues (pictures for younger kids, riddles for older ones) leading to the next hiding spot. The final clue can lead to a treasure chest of treats!
"Pin the Spider on the Web" (or "Pin the Eye on the Monster"): A spooky twist on a classic party game. Draw a large spiderweb or a silly monster face on a poster board. Cut out individual spiders or eyeballs (with a piece of tape on the back). Blindfold players, spin them around, and have them try to "pin" the item in the correct spot.
Halloween Charades/Pictionary: Write down Halloween-themed words or phrases (witch, vampire, pumpkin, haunted house, trick-or-treating, black cat). Divide into teams and play charades or Pictionary for some hilarious guesses and artistic endeavors.
